  46. echo ║      VEGABOOT.SYS is device driver that will allow you to use your   ║
  47. echo ║      VEGA with self-booting games that require emulation.  To do     ║
  48. echo ║      so, follow these steps:                                         ║

  50. echo ║        1.  Prepare a formatted system disk using the DOS             ║
  51. echo ║            FORMAT command with the /S option.                        ║
  52. echo ║                                                                      ║
  53. echo ║        2.  Use the INSTALL program on this disk to add the           ║
  54. echo ║            VEGABOOT.SYS driver and the appropriate CONFIG.SYS        ║
  55. echo ║            file.                                                     ║

  57. echo ║        3.  Before trying to run a self-booting game, reboot          ║
  58. echo ║            your computer with the disk prepared in steps 1 and       ║
  59. echo ║            2 above.  You will be prompted to insert your game        ║

  68. echo ║      WINDOWS DISK MODIFICATIONS:                                     ║

  70. echo ║      The VEGA Deluxe install program makes the following             ║
  71. echo ║      modifications to the WINDOWS diskettes.                         ║
  72. echo ║                                                                      ║
  73. echo ║        1.  SETUP DISK:  Three driver files are removed from the      ║
  74. echo ║            Windows SETUP disk to make room for the VEGA Deluxe       ║
  75. echo ║            drivers.  The drivers removed are CGA.DRV, HERCULES.DRV,  ║
  76. echo ║            and EGALORES.DRV.  The files 752X410.DRV and 640X480.DRV  ║
  77. echo ║            are then copied from the VEGA Deluxe diskette to the      ║
  78. echo ║            Windows SETUP diskette.                                   ║
  79. echo ║                                                                      ║
  80. echo ║        2.  BUILD DISK:  The install program makes two copies of      ║
  81. echo ║            the file EGAHIRES.LGO.  These copies are called           ║
  82. echo ║            752X410.LGO and 640X480.LGO.                              ║
  83. echo ║                                                                      ║
  84. echo ║      These changes can be made by hand using standard DOS commands   ║
  85. echo ║      if you prefer.   Once they are made Windows should be           ║
  86. echo ║      installed as described in the Windows documentation.            ║

  94. echo ║      USE OF THE VEGA DELUXE TEXT DRIVERS FOR LOTUS 1-2-3             ║

  98. echo ║      you to run Lotus 1-2-3, version 2.0, in 120 column              ║

  114. echo ║      PALETPOP.COM, PALETPOP.HLP, and two files with the              ║
  115. echo ║      ".CLR" extension.  Palette Pops is an EGA color palette         ║
  116. echo ║      changer, that is, it will let you change the standard           ║
  117. echo ║      colors in your programs to colors you prefer.                   ║
  118. echo ║                                                                      ║
  119. echo ║      Palette Pops can be run as a memory resident program            ║
  120. echo ║      that can "Pop Up" in your text programs or as a                 ║
  121. echo ║      non-resident program.                                           ║

  123. echo ║      To run Palette Pops as a memory resident program, enter         ║
  124. echo ║      PALETPOP R at DOS prompt.  To use Palette Pops as a             ║
